How it all began...
Incoveca Granitos, S.A. was founded by Silvino dos Santos Paiva in 1979. Initially, it was focused solely on civil construction and public works, the company redirected its activity towards the production of ornamental stones with the construction of the factory in Sernancelhe.
From the very beginning, the company recognized the importance of synergy between the extraction and transformation sectors, leading to the prospecting, licensing, and exploitation of several granite quarries in central Portugal.
Incoveca Granitos, S.A. underwent significant technological advancements, securing a strong position in both the domestic and international markets. In 1993, it acquired the manufacturing unit in Mundão, expanding its product range to include calibrated, polished, and beveled granite tiles with a thickness of 1 cm.
The company’s structural growth was fully achieved with the addition of the Caparrosa – Tondela factory, which is the largest ornamental granite manufacturing unit in Portugal. Additionally, Incoveca Granitos, S.A. operates a specialized unit for processing marbles, limestones, and travertines from Portugal and around the world, equipped with a complete Simec system, the company has established itself as the largest ornamental stone manufacturer in the country.
