Surface Treatments

Sawn

Appearance obtained after processing the slabs through the block sawing process. It has a smooth appearance; however, this type of surface creates more friction compared to polished or honed treatments, as it has anti-slip characteristics. It has no texture or shine and serves as the starting point for further treatments.

Polished

A treatment that highlights the color of the materials and their specific characteristics, such as veins and grain. It creates a completely flat, smooth, and shiny surface. A treatment specifically for interiors.

Honed

A treatment similar to polished, as it shows the color of the materials, but without the shine. It creates a completely flat and smooth surface.

Shotblasted

The surface of this treatment is created by projecting steel spheres onto the material, making it anti-slip. It provides more roughness than flame treatment and sandblasting. It is specific for outdoor use, such as flooring and cladding.

Flamed

Achieved by exposing the material to high temperatures through direct application of fire. It is suitable for outdoor areas due to its anti-slip characteristics. Being an aggressive treatment, it allows for variations in the surface relief. For gray granites, this treatment best preserves their natural color, while for yellow granites, it gives them a pinkish tonality.

Sandblasted

An anti-slip treatment that presents a light texture, helping with maintenance, and is suitable for flooring. It is considered to have less roughness than shot blasted and flamed treatments, and more roughness and irregularity than brushed.

Brushed

Slightly rough surface, as the name suggests, satin finish. It has a certain shine, but it is considered less shiny than the polished treatment.

Waterjet

Treatment done with water jet, providing a rougher and more natural appearance, highlighting the characteristics of the stone, while creating a non-slip surface. This technique is used mainly for cladding and flooring in outdoor environments, due to its durability and resistance.

Turbo

It is a technique that uses two types of finishes: polished and brushed. It highlights the quartz, especially in coarse-grain materials, giving the material a matte yet shiny appearance, ideal for interior spaces, creating unique and distinctive environments.
